They fell in love while working as dentists in Salt Lake City, where they enjoyed skiing and the outdoors for several years while honing their dental skills. They started looking to buy a dental practice in North Carolina the same time that the previous owners, Dr. Mark and Dr. Gina Covington, were retiring and looking for a new husband-and-wife dentist couple to take over their practice.
